The Modern Quilt Guild

The Modern Quilt Guild

The Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) developed out of the thriving online community of modern quilters and their desire to start meeting in person. The founding guild was formed in Los Angeles in October of 2009.

Through blogs and the Internet, word spread quickly of the fun they were having and soon guilds started popping up everywhere.

QuiltCon is the yearly quilt show of the Modern Quilt Guild, hosting over 600 modern quilts and welcoming well over 10.000 visitors every year.

Selections of QuiltCon 2024

The 19 QuiltCon 2024 selected quilts represent the variety of stunning work on display in Raleigh, North Carolina this past February.

Highlighting different aspects of the modern aesthetic, with innovative designs and bold style, these pieces come together to give a glimpse of the best of modern quilting today.

Highlighted work: QuiltCon 2024 Best of show: What We Will Use as Weapons, A List of School Supplies, by Ginny Robinson (USA)
