Doris Leuenberger (Switzerland), Sophie Maechler (France) and Monika Schiwy-Jessen (Germany) have been working together for several years and exchange ideas regularly.
Since 2019, they have formed the group “Grenzenlos” (“Without borders”) to exhibit together. They are mixed media artists who have exhibited throughout different countries within Europe. They also teach various mixed media workshops.
A visit to an Affichist exhibition inspired them to focus more on our urban world. So, each of them has incorporated street art into her work.
The starting point for the work includes fabrics and papers, which were produced using transfer processes and various collage techniques.
