Quilt en rêve

Quilt en rêve is an association of British, Dutch and American antique quilt enthusiasts. Some of them have been quilting for over 30 years, always conscious of working in a traditional way, paying attention to detail, the choice of fabric and hand sewing.

Its members have found their style in making both stunning and detailed pieces. This exhibition was created by a talented team who is more than happy to share its unique pieces: Aline Joulin, Gabrielle Paquin, Marie Françoise Grégoire, Anne Marie Uguen, Sophie Brochot, Eric Durth, Michėle Beugnon, Michėle Dumy, Jocelyne Picot, Helma Huisman Hildebrand, Marie Josèphe Véteau, Caroline Brochot, Colette Bourgain, Christine Dujardin, Christine Imbaud, Diana Hazel- Depresle, Dominique Husson, Jacqueline Audoin-Dubreuil et Martine Crabé-Lanux.

The Power of Quilts

Freely inspired by traditional quilts from the 19th and early 20th centuries (USA, Australia, The Netherlands, France…), these works are a look back in time. Each artist has felt empathy in bringing these blocks back to life.

Entirely executed by hand, each quilt reflects the perfect balance of fabric and color choices to protect the authenticity and charm of the original work that served as a model.

Admire these exceptional quilts, the fruit of hours of work and admiration.
