Flowers to kiss

Workshop topic: Contemporary with machine
Languages: French flag English flag Drapeau hollandais
Nb of students: 15

Using a simple technique, these flowers, leaves and stems are mechanically applied to a dark or light background. The result can be used as a cushion cover or wall decoration. Signing up for this project is a great way to gain more experience with the sewing machine. You’ll learn how to use a host of useful functions built into the machine. Using different decorative stitches in a patchwork project will open the door to your own projects in the future. After appliqué, you’ll learn to quilt mechanically in slightly curved lines or free motion.

The teacher

As the owner and manager of a sewing machine store, I teach my customers how to use their new equipment. I also run a sewing academy where various projects are held throughout the year, usually with 12 to 14 participants. The goal of these projects is to master the art of machine sewing and to explore different patchwork techniques. During the summer months we offer a variety of workshops focusing on patchwork, quilting and machine embroidery. I teach in Dutch, French and English, adapting my approach to the specific needs of each client. I also provide written course materials.
