This fun, multifaceted and intense workshop will coach various quilting skills to spark students’ creative potentials and serve as a platform for future stunning projects!
Participants will embrace the sewing machine as a mark-making and textural tool, focusing on non-traditional free motion and walking foot quilting to create their own individual “Doodles”; no two will be alike! (Basic knowledge of the sewing machine and quilt construction are recommended).
We’ll experiment various coloring tecniques with the unique ink pencils to transform one’s imagination into visual representation.

Tutorial

*Kits include all necessary materials for this course and for your future projects including the original one-of-a-kind Derwent Inktense pencils; they seem expensive but will last almost forever and will be useful in many ways. I strongly suggest the 24-pencil box, which offers a nicer selection of colors (I’m not sponsored by Derwent).
