Gabrielle Paquin invites participants to work on a 12 x 12 inch block (30 x 30 cm) designed to be completed in about six hours, in a setting that is both focused and relaxed.
This block can later be repeated to create a contemporary medium-sized quilt, giving each person the freedom to further explore the proposed graphic play.
The project requires only two light striped cotton fabrics and two medium or dark striped cotton fabrics.
The aim is to explore contrasts—between straight and curved lines, between values and colors—without needing to match tones or stripe widths.
Templates will be provided free of charge to make cutting easier and allow everyone to focus on composition and visual effects.
This exercise is perfect for those who want to explore the potential of striped fabrics while developing a strong sense of balance and rhythm in textile composition.
An accessible, educational, and distinctly contemporary workshop that reflects Gabrielle’s signature style.
