In this workshop, participants will explore a creative and adaptable technique affectionately named “False Weaving.”
They will use it to construct a bold and timely 20 × 20 cm portrait of Dalí, in celebration of all things Avant-Garde at the Carrefour.
This playful textile method allows for striking visual results and offers endless opportunities for personal interpretation.
In addition to working on the Dalí piece, participants will learn how to apply the technique to their own photographs and turn them into one-of-a-kind textile portraits.
Whether using leftover scraps from their stash or selecting specific fabrics for the occasion, everyone will be able to experiment with texture, layering, and color in fresh and expressive ways.
Clear guidance will be provided throughout the workshop, with a focus on creativity, precision, and personal style.
This is a unique opportunity to combine image-making and fabric play in a way that’s both accessible and visually impactful.
