Peter Hayward

Peter Hayward has been active in the world of patchwork for over 15 years, exhibiting his work widely across Spain and at the Carrefour in 2022.His quilts have earned numerous national and international awards, including Best in Show at Sitges in both 2018 and 2021, the Master Award for Innovative Artistry at Houston in 2015, and Viewers’ Choice at Houston on three occasions.Known for his bold visual language and inventive use of materials, he brings a unique perspective to the contemporary art quilt scene.Peter began teaching in 2018 in Spain and has since expanded his teaching internationally, offering workshops at the Carrefour, in England, and at the Houston Quilt Festival.His classes focus on creativity, composition, and innovative construction techniques, encouraging students to break boundaries and develop their own artistic voices.
