Mattea Jurin, an Italian-American artist, made her public debut as a 2022 Carrefour Contest prize winner and has since gained international recognition in the world of contemporary art quilting.Her works have been selected for several prestigious juried exhibitions, including SAQA Global, Carrefour, and Quilt National ’25, as well as for quilt shows and competitions in Italy and abroad.Her creative vision and storytelling have been featured in quilting magazines, online interviews, and have led to invitations for solo shows.In 2024, her Doodlemania workshop was a standout success, selling out within a month.This year, she returns with a brand-new concept: an immersive and playful workshop dedicated to free motion quilted monograms, mounted on canvas for a polished, contemporary presentation.Blending her signature improvisational approach with refined techniques, Mattea offers a space for participants to explore the expressive possibilities of free motion quilting—where every letter becomes a vibrant, stitched artwork.
