Marina Landi

Marina Landi holds degrees in both Engineering and Fine Arts. For many years, she worked closely with engineers and architects, creating large-scale decorative mosaic installations for architectural spaces.In the early 2000s, she discovered the world of patchwork and immediately fell in love with it. She recognized many parallels between quilting and mosaics—both requiring careful composition, precision, and a strong sense of design.Determined to unite her past and present artistic interests, Marina began to apply her technical background and visual experience to the creation of artistic quilts.She has now been fully dedicated to quilting for over 15 years, developing her own unique techniques and teaching them through workshops.Her work is especially focused on portraiture and figurative imagery, capturing emotions and expressions with remarkable subtlety and depth—one small piece of fabric at a time.For Marina, translating feeling into fabric remains a powerful and ongoing challenge, one that continues to fuel her creative journey.
