Esther Tronchoni

Esther Tronchoni has been active in the world of patchwork for over 15 years.Her quilts have received numerous awards at prestigious events such as the Houston Quilt Festival, AQS Paducah, Sitges, and the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in 2022.She has taught patchwork extensively across Spain and, for the past two years, at the Houston Quilt Festival, where she continues to share her techniques with international audiences.In recent years, she has also expanded her artistic practice to include needle felting, offering classes throughout Spain—including at the Crearte Fair in Granada—and gaining recognition for her distinctive approach to textile surfaces.In October 2023, she returned to Houston to teach both patchwork and felting in multiple workshops.Alongside her husband, artist Peter Hayward, she has presented her art quilts in a number of exhibitions, including a joint showcase at the Carrefour in 2022.Her work is marked by strong visual storytelling, technical refinement, and a passion for exploring new forms of textile expression.
