Tara Glastonbury is a modern quilter with a background in graphic design and a long history in textile crafts. In both cases she is drawn to the mix of utility and art form. For the last decade she has combined the two by designing quilts.

This exhibition “Balancing Act” explores Tara’s evolution as a design-led modern quilter through her use of bold colour and striking geometry. Each quilt here reflects the tension between vision and material use, form and function, creativity and constraint. The exhibition invites viewers to engage with this balancing act to reflect on the intersection of design, utility, and reuse in modern quilting.
