Seika was born in Japan and is of Korean origin. She moved to the United States with her German husband before settling in Switzerland, where she now lives with her family and works as a bojagi textile artist. She is a human resources planner and also a mother to a young daughter. Fascinated by jogakbo, a traditional bojagi patchwork, she began creating bojagi. Today, she creates various lyrical bojagi patchworks and textile works while adapting to Western culture. To create her works, she often sews together fabric scraps. Through this, her works represent the idea of cherishing and being grateful for the small things in life. All her works are hand-sewn. Creating bojagi brings her great happiness in her daily life. She feels that each of her bojagi represents a moment in her life and is a part of her heart. She participates in exhibitions, teaches classes, and offers books, original kits, and Korean fabrics at her events. This exhibition will be her first in France.Guided tour: daily at 2 PM (EN)
