Rute Sato was born in Brazil to Japanese immigrant parents.Graduated in product design, she discovered the art of patchwork during a stay in Japan. She owns a studio in São Paulo where she has been teaching patchwork for 20 years. She devotes her free time to creating art quilts to participate in exhibitions.Her favorite style is figurative, based on everyday life and nature themes. Through her creations, she strives to convey social messages and advocate for environmental protection.Rute has another passion: cats. In addition to the five she has adopted and who live in her home, she also dedicates herself to abandoned cats, especially those living near her studio.
