The African-American Sampler Quilt Group (AASQG) and the National African-American Quilt Guild (NAAQG) consist of creators from all corners of the United States, from Rhode Island in the North, Texas in the South, California in the West, and Pennsylvania in the East. The artists range from beginners to professionals. They are self-taught, having learned from family traditions or at school. The organizations include mothers, artists, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and students, to name just a few. The internet has brought them together.Terry Koger hails from Trenton, New Jersey, and holds a degree in music education from Morgan State University. As an alto saxophonist, jazz professor, and musician, his musical journey has led him to publish several articles in the Black Music Research Journal. He recently completed a jazz CD project. The collaboration between AASQG, NAAQG, and Terry has allowed them to explore jazz music through the art of quilts and clothing.Guided tour: every day at 11 a.m. (EN)
