Maria Stoller was born in the United States and has lived in Switzerland for over 40 years. She has always loved textiles and making objects. Her first textile works were quilts, which gradually became figurative and inventive.In 2006, she discovered drawing and painting, which greatly influenced her work. Today, Maria works as a mixed-media artist, primarily with textiles, but also with paint, ink, pencils, paper, and more.She also creates books and is currently combining unsuccessful old quilts into the form of a book, creating a kind of 3D quilt.
