“Labors of Love” is the business name of Jane Lury’s company, which specializes in selling antique quilts. According to her partner David, what started as a weekend hobby quickly grew beyond their expectations.In the 1980s, while traveling in Oregon, Jane spotted a quilt for sale at an antique shop and bought it. Back in New York, she visited shops selling quilts. Then, while traveling across the country, she discovered more quilts and purchased them. She ended up with so many pieces that she absolutely had to lighten her collection.That’s why Jane and David participate annually in 9 major quilt and textile festivals, including in France and Tokyo.The quilts they present are of French, English, and American origin.
