Ephemeral is defined as transient, fleeting, and momentary. In her textile works Dianne tries to capture impressions of air, wind, water, cloud and flight through the use of transparency and shadows. Small elements of solid material, such as felt and cotton, are captured between delicate layers of net which are then machine stitched together. Shadows are cast when light is shone onto the surface.
