The International Carrefour Contest offers an exceptional showcase to all quilters around the world. A theme is born from the imagination of the Carrefour organizers every year in the fall. It leads to a new edition of the competition, open to all patchwork enthusiasts. Several months of imagination and creation are required for each participant to create their piece before registering in the spring. Three judges then analyze all the works via photos and select the 30 quilts that best represent the theme of the year. This selection is then presented as a preview in September at the Carrefour. The awards ceremony takes place in grand style to reward the artists with numerous prizes that are revealed: grand prize, people’s choice award, organization award, and various sponsor prizes. After this launch, a long journey of 10 months awaits the 30 works in the best art galleries, museums, and patchwork events around the globe: a wonderful opportunity for artists to showcase their work internationally!
