Carmen Netto is passionate about art. She began her career in illustration and graphic design, but it was in textile art that she found her true means of expression.Whether evident or subtle, geometric shapes have always been present in her work, and their study plays an intriguing role in her creations.Freedom in color usage, improvisation, and transparency are her preferred approaches. The reuse of fabrics “with a story, with a past” is a constant in her work, often serving as the starting point for her creations. In 1998, she conceived and organized the first quilt and patchwork event in Brazil and all of Latin America, which has since been held annually under the name Festival Quilt Brasil.
